Atypical Presentation of Pulmonary Embolism in a Young Athlete

Abstract

We describe a 24-year-old endurance athlete whose pulmonary embolism presented as isolated exertional fatigue. Early imaging and a structured risk review led to prompt anticoagulation and full recovery. The case highlights how fitness can mask classic warning signs.
